You are a refugee in Germany in a reception centre, collective accommodation or moved into a flat/house with a small group of other refugees and/or family members. You need internet access, already had internet access in your former accommodation, but lost this possibility after your relocation. Due to your financial opportunities, you are not able to pay for an internet connection (DSL, cable, mobile wireless).

You live in the neighbourhood of refugees and would like to support them with internet access.

A Freifunk node is usually working like a normal WiFi accesspoint. You can connect your wireless devices (smartphone, notebook) to it (without knowing any passwords). The Freifunk node must be connected to the Freifunk network a) via an direct link to the internet (e.g. via a DSL/cable router/modem) or b) wireless to another Freifunk node with a direct link to the internet or further Freifunk nodes (at least one with a link to the internet). The Freifunk network (of your local Freifunk community) will provide different services, e.g. IRC, wordpress, Mumble etc. One of these services is "internet access".
Ein Freifunk Knoten arbeitet normalerweise wie ein normaler WiFi Accesspoint. Du kannst Deine kabellosen Geräte (Smartphone, Notebook) damit verbinden (ohne irgendwelche Passwörter zu kennen). Der Freifunk Knoten muss an das Freifunk Netzwerk angebunden sein a) über eine direkte Verbindung an das Internet (z.B. per DSL/Kabel Router/Modem) oder b) kabellos zu einem anderen Freifunk Knoten mit einer direkten Verbindung an das Internet oder weiteren Freifunk Knoten (mindestens einer mit einer Verbindung zum Internet). As a refugee: Search for a Freifunk node and connect your device.
As a supporter: Get into contact with you closest Freifunk community and provide a new Freifunk node to share your internet connection.
Als Flüchtling: Such nach einem Freifunk Knoten und verbinde Dein Gerät.
Als Unterstützer: Nimm Kontakt mit Deiner nächsten Freifunk Gemeinschaft auf und stelle einen neuen Freifunk Knoten auf um Deinen Internetanschluss zu teilen.
